Our Story
In 2023, Viva Wanderlust Safaris emerged from a shared dream and an extraordinary fusion of cultures, thanks to its founders, Harrison and Tizia. Harrison, a proud Tanzanian with an innate love for his homeland’s stunning landscapes, teamed up with Tizia, a visionary from Germany whose heart was captivated by Tanzania’s allure.
Tizia's journey began in 2010 when she arrived in Tanzania as a bright-eyed volunteer, eager to make a difference. Little did she realize that this initial step would lead her to a deep and lasting bond with Tanzania. Over nearly a decade, she roamed every corner of this magical country, from the sweeping plains of the Serengeti to the towering heights of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Together with Harrison, whose roots and expertise in Tanzanian culture and nature are unparalleled, Tizia's experiences and passion laid the foundation for Viva Wanderlust Safaris. Their combined vision and dedication have created a tour company that celebrates and showcases the breathtaking beauty and rich heritage of Tanzania, offering travelers an unforgettable journey through this extraordinary land.
Along the way, she became a loving mother to three wonderful children, adding layers of joy and meaning to her Tanzanian adventure.Her quest for knowledge and enrichment didn't stop with exploration. In 2023, Tizia proudly achieved her certification as a yoga teacher, blending her love for movement and mindfulness with her deep-rooted connection to Tanzania.
